THE SHOW MUST GO ON!
A great night was had by all last night at the Trane Studio (as opposed to the Montreal Bistro). As many of you heard, the Montreal Bistro closed abruptly Tuesday night (the night before my scheduled performance). However, with the help of my amazing parents, Bill McMurtrey and legendary jazz pianist Washington Savage, I was able to move my gig to the Trane Studio (http://www.tranestudio.com/). The show was amazing and I would like to sincerely thank EVERYBODY for supporting me by coming, cheering, drinking and having an amazing night despite the stressful situation. Not only did it turn out to be an unbelievable night but my story made the front page of the Toronto Star as I was featured in their article of the Montreal Bistro closing: (http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentServer?pagename=thestar/Layout/Article_Type1&c=Article&cid=1152136215976&call_pageid=968332188492&col=968793972154&t=TS_Home)
Thanks again to everybody for making it a truly unforgettable night. All of your support is always greatly appreciated.
Check back soon for photos/video clips from the gig as well as future gigs this summer! As I say at the end of the article, "The show must go on- it has to!"
